Since 2021 we've been driven by a dream to produce and create the best spirits possible whilst reviving Scotch Whisky production in West Fife.
After four years, the work behind the scenes is becoming reality.
The existing assets within and surrounding the distillery site provide exactly what every distillery desires.
Utilising our own private mineral water supply to the renewable energy sources on site, through to a bonded warehouse, plus over 30,000ft² of existing future expansion space and hundreds of acres of surrounding land, it provides an exceptional base to produce our own spirits from.
Unlike many producers, we're not a distillery to rush decisions and produce large quantities of whisky, we will only put our label to the very best spirit.
Here at Knockhill Distillery we are family run and very fortunate to be distanced from any external or third party influence.
No investors or exit strategies, just 100% focus on delivering the best spirits.

Conception
Beginning to prepare the groundworks for the distillery to start from. Deciding our approach and place in the market

Planning Application Lodged
We wanted to create a full package here at Knockhill Distillery, so we lodged plans for not only a distillery, but bottling plant and maturation warehouse too

Planning Permission Granted
At the beginning of 2022 we received approval from Fife Council for the distillery. This was a huge moment for the project and secured our future

Construction
Construction begins to make our facilities suited for distilling

Team
We began searching for the best people to help us execute this job. A fantastic team was gathered

Equipment
Discussions started to get the best equipment to make our spirits. Proposals were made and cogs began turning

Final Construction
Final amendments were made to the distillery building and the bonded warehouse

Renewable Energy
Renewable energy sources are installed at the site to assist powering the Distillery.
